
Ferguson  defeats hometown hero Danny “Last Call” Castillo by split decision in a very close 3 round decision. Ultimately “El Cucuey” was the more active fighter, even though he ended up on his back several time, the judges liked his gutsy performance, over Castillo’s playing it safe staying on top, but not really opening up, or looking for much ground and pound from his top position. Tony has been on a tear since winning season 14 of the Ultimate fighter. Other than a minor set back, breaking his arm during the fight against the surging Blackzillian, Michael Johnson,  he’s been impressive.

Ben Saunders made history last weekend with his Omoplata finish from Rubber Guard. This marks the first Omoplata win in the UFC’s history. There’s been other finishes in smaller organizations, but none in the big show. Eddie Bravo was in “Killa B”, Ben Saunder’s corner for the epic finish that was straight out of  the book, Mastering the Rubber Guard.
