Cesar’s Roll Out June 6th 2015

You can usually see these two students always arriving 30 minutes early before class, at 10th Planet Van Nuys, to play with their teammates or just blow of some steam in the heavy bag. Their names are Andy and Cesar and you are sure to see these two on the mats always wearing a bright smile on their faces. Andy (11 years old), is the oldest of the two and always provides a helping hand to his younger brother Cesar (8 years old). Cesar has cerebral palsy, affecting muscle control, muscle coordination, posture, reflex and balance. Despite his condition, Cesar is always in class with his brother Andy ready to work and learn. His choice of physical therapy is jiu jitsu and he absolutely loves it! From the time he bagan training till now, he’s shown much improvement. Medical bills can get a little steep for his parents, so with the help of some awesome parents and staff, they’ve put together a fundraiser for Cesar on June 6, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.  taking place at 10th Planet Van Nuys. There will be food, shaved ice, live DJ, special guests and prizes. So come on out to have a great time and support a good cause. All donations will go to Cesar’s medical expenses to help keep him healthy and strong so he can continue to feel better and improve on and off the mats. What an inspiration it is to see this young man overcome adversity to strive to be a better athlete and person.
